Today's artwork comes from Lisa Kercher. You can see more of Lisa's fantastic work on her blog "You know how I roll". To see more layouts with shapes from July check out the gallery.
I left the chipboard natural, except for the lady's heart which I coloured with a glossy gel pen.
On the "Him & Her" I first covered with Ranger's Stream alcohol ink, tapped a copious amount of Ranger perfect pearls on it (in the coordination colour), waited until it dried, then covered the whole shape in ranger's Glossy Accents. It takes forever to dry, but it's well worth it! For complete steps and pictures, check out this post: http://riffraffdesigns.typepad.com/gems/2009/02/how-to-with-lisa.html
On the "Fancy Flourish" I painted it grey, then dry brushed black paint along the surface.
On the "Retro Squares", I smudged a variety of colours of blue paint along the shape, making sure I didn't cover the entire surface. Once the paint dried, I smeared tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in a light blue over the surface, so it's shimmery in some areas but not in others.
On the "Mr. Martin" I painted it green then smeared some Lime Green Glimmer Mist over the surface. the eyes are painted dark blue
On the "Layered Labels" I mixed craft paint with Ranger Crackle paint and covered the surface. Some areas are crackled and some not. Once dry, I sprayed the entire shape with Tattered Angels glimmer mist (in the Denim colour, I think)
The "Bee Mine" was painted black, then covered in black stickles. I backed it with a yellow polka dot Hambly transparency.

I embossed both "Jacks". The black one with regular black embossing powder. The turquoise one I sprayed with Glimmer mist first, then embossed with clear embossing powder. I overheated both shapes, so some areas turned white. Then I spritzed the same turquoise-blue Glimmer Mist over top of each shape
